Youth voice and consultation
- We consult young people on what creative provision they want
- What they tell us shapes what we run
Creative programmes for young people
- Fashion, music production, music business, and content creation and media, taught at a level and pace that works for 13 to 17 year olds
- Led by working industry professionals
- No portfolio, equipment or experience needed
- Built around neurodivergent and disabled young people from the start
- Set up for schools, colleges and youth services for a specific group, with open cohorts listed here when we have funding to run them
Summer schools and holiday provision
- Short, intensive creative programmes across the school holidays for 13 to 15 year olds
- Small groups working on a real creative output, whether that’s a track, a collection, a short film or a campaign
- Ends with a showcase or listening session that families are invited to
- Food and travel covered where the programme is funded
- Delivered with local authorities, schools and venues, with open places for families announced here when we have them
How we work
- Everyone who delivers for us is DBS checked and safeguarding trained
- We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead and a deputy reachable throughout every programme
- Longer programmes always run from accessible venues
At 18
Young people who've been part of Hype & Genius Youth are welcome to apply for our core programmes, music camps and artist development when they turn 18, and we'll always tell them what's open. See our programmes
