Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is a business incubator?

Think of it like a greenhouse for your creative business – providing the perfect environment and conditions for growth. Our incubator combines hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world opportunities specifically designed for creative entrepreneurs. It’s not just about learning – it’s about implementing and growing with support.

What’s the workshop format?

Each workshop runs for 4 hours, combining interactive learning, practical exercises, and real-world planning in small groups of up to 15 people. We understand you might be juggling other commitments, so we offer flexible scheduling options:

The specific schedule will be discussed during your interview, allowing you to choose the format that best fits your lifestyle. Whichever option you choose, you’ll need to attend all three workshops to complete the programme.

How established does my business need to be?

Whether you’re still in the planning stages or you’ve been running for up to 3 years, you’re welcome to apply. We work with creatives at all stages – from those with just an idea and some samples, to those already making consistent sales.

What if I’m not making a profit yet?

That’s exactly why this incubator exists! Many participants join specifically because they’re struggling with profitability. We’ll help you understand your numbers, set appropriate prices, and develop strategies to make your creative practice financially sustainable.

Can I join with my co-founder?

Yes! Creative duos and co-founders are welcome to apply. However, both need to be able to attend all workshops. Please mention your co-founder in your application.

Do I need to have a registered business?

No – you can join at any stage. Whether you’re a sole trader, limited company, or still figuring out your business structure, we’ll help you understand the best path forward.

What happens after the workshops?

You’ll have ongoing access to our creative network, resources, and potential opportunities. Selected participants will also get the chance to take part in our pop-up shop opportunity.

I have another job – can I still join?

Absolutely! Many creative entrepreneurs start their business while working other jobs. As long as you can commit to attending all three workshops, you’re welcome to apply.

What if I need to miss a workshop?

Due to the connected nature of the programme, participants need to attend all three workshops. If you know in advance that you can’t make all dates, please let us know in your application.

What’s the application process like?

We keep it simple – just tell us about your creative practice, where you’re at with your business, and what you hope to achieve. No long business plans or financial forecasts needed at this stage.
